Mercy’s Ministry: Supporting the Special Needs Community

Mercy’s Ministry was founded in honor of Mercy, a girl born with a motor disability who was abandoned but saved by a caring neighbor. Inspired by her resilience, the ministry was created in 2019 to support and empower individuals with special needs in Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement.

The program offers skills training, sustainable opportunities, and advocacy, supported by a goat farm that provides ongoing resources. Participants also learn soap making, jewelry crafting, and purse making through Mercy’s Ministry.

The Lighthouse Ministry

Theme Verse: “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? ~Psalm 27:1

The Lighthouse Ministry is our student outreach program for children aged 8–16, especially those without parents or positive role models. Through weekly large-group gatherings and intentional mentorship opportunities, Lighthouse Ministry seeks to provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, and a safe environment where young people can grow, find hope, and build a strong foundation for their future. Specialized ministry such as GIA (God in Art) operate under the Lighthouse Ministry umbrella, using creative expression to deepen faith and personal development.

GIA Ministry: God In Art

GIA (God In Art) Ministry was founded at Ebenezer Global Hub in 2023 to nurture creativity as a reflection of God’s nature. The program offers a safe, inspiring space for teen girls in Bidi Bidi Refugee Settlement to develop artistic skills, express their gifts, and deepen their understanding of God, celebrating creativity as a form of worship.

Dina’s Ministry: Caring for the Elderly

Dina’s Ministry was founded in 2023, inspired by a South Sudanese woman who lost her mother in 1997 due to inadequate medical care in Dadaab Refugee Camp, Kenya. Resettled in Memphis, TN in 2001, she spent years serving the elderly community.

During a 2023 mission trip to Bidi Bidi Refugee Camp, she witnessed elderly individuals living in isolation without basic necessities or medical care. Moved by their struggles, she established Dina’s Ministry in honor of her mother, providing food, medical support, and care to Bidi Bidi’s elderly. Through compassion and service, the ministry restores hope, dignity, and care to those often forgotten.
